In addition, we are now able to replace lost collagen with so-called collagen boosters to stimulate growth, or to reposition sunken facial areas with thread lifting. Botulinum toxin is another new addition to medical cosmetology. By specifically paralysing the facial muscles, botulinum toxin can reduce facial wrinkles, wrinkles, such as frown lines, can be smoothed out. Botulinum toxin can also be used to treat excessive underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis), bruxism (teeth grinding) and migraines.
